Our Church Choir
There is a renowned tradition of choral singing in worship here at St Mary the Virgin, Eccleston, of which we are very proud.
St Mary's boasts a fantastic choir, who enhance our liturgy. They sing the hymns, mass setting, and an anthem during our Choral Parish Eucharist each Sunday, and on other occasions by special request.
The choir meet to rehearse on a Thursday evening at 7pm in the Parish Centre.
If you enjoy singing, then you would be very welcome to come along and meet our Director of Music, Keith Orrell who would be delighted to speak to you.
Keith, who has a prestigious musical career, alongside his work with us, is Musical Director of both the William Byrd Singers and the Liverpool Welsh Choral. He has recently conducted a performance of Verdi's Requiem at Liverpool Cathedral with the Manchester Camerata, International Soloists and over 280 singers. The choir here is very blessed to be under his stewardship.
Both the Director of Music, and The Rector would be happy to hear from you to discuss what God might be calling you to musically. Contact details can be found by clicking here.
