On Sunday 23 June the Archdeacon of Blackburn, The Venerable Mark Ireland, visited Charnock Richard, Christ Church and Eccleston, St Mary the Virgin to Induct and Install Fr Andrew as the Rector of the United Benefice of Eccleston and Charnock Richard.  This means that the living is now reinstated and Fr Andrew is the Rector having served as Priest in Charge of each parish since 2013
